Fun Tip of the Day!

Join the NASA Planet Patrol team as they search for new worlds beyond our Solar System!

Participants help sift through Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite (TESS) images of potential planets by answering a set of questions for each image – Amazingly computers are not as good as the human eye in detecting weak signals from planets. Planet Patrol volunteers are citizen scientists whose help will contribute to scientists’ understanding of how planetary systems form and evolve throughout the universe. Learn more here.

Success Reminder: Positivity Sent Your Way!

My favorite part of her blog was the key reminder and is applicable whether you are in home dialyzor or in center dialyzor.

"So, I am here to ask each of us to start thinking about our lives in a different way. We are kidney successes—not failures.  We are simply normal people who need a dialysis treatment the way cars need their oil changed. Every day we triumph over adversity when we fix an alarm and complete a treatment..."

Need a reminder of how great you are and how much you succeed everyday?

Read Nieltje Gedney's entire post on Home Dialysis Central: Dialysis Success - what is in a word.

She reminds us all that the words associated with chronic kidney disease often have negative connotations - "kidney failure" for example but you are not a failure in life you are a success!
